Clue/Question: The king hated his chair and wanted it to be – – –

Answer: “THRONE“ OUT
(Another royally stinky pun! Maybe the guys are working with ABC, and they’re helping to promote “The Story of the Royals”, tonight at 9:00 EDT. I won’t be watching it, because I’ll be watching “Suits”, and then probably “The Sinner”, on the USA network. I could give a crap about the friggin’ royals! I think that anyone who HAS to follow all the comings and goings of the British royal family are immature and unrealistic. It’s all Barbie dolls, fairy tales and beauty pageants. It’s mindless fluff. They have no bearing on the real world. And, by gosh . . . it’s un-American! We broke free from British rule 242 years ago. Sure, they’re no longer our “enemy” – as if they ever really were – but that doesn’t excuse this irrational love affair with this “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” British edition nonsense. So, stop it! Watch “Suits” instead.
No new clue words, today. However all of the jumbles came up as new. I don’t think any of them were particularly hard, but that could just be me. The answer letter layout was a noble and stately jumble! It did not make the answer obvious. The clue/question made the answer pretty obvious, for me. That, and the cartoon.
An exceedingly ostentatious throne, kind of jumps right out at you. The king dude, who clearly can’t be British, does look very regal, with his scepter, and the crest on his jacket, and his fancy goatee and mustache. The earring is a little strange. I’m not familiar with any country that has a coat of arms featuring snakes so prominently. All in all a great cartoon! And, a fun Jumble. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
