Sunday Cryptoquote Spoiler – 08/19/18

Every child is an artist.  The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.”   —   Pablo Picasso

( . . . or she.  No inhibitions, no biases, I guess.  I guess it’s hard for most of us to hold onto that part of our childhood.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Sunday Jumble Spoiler – 08/19/18

Visual Description:  Buckingham Palace routine.

HHLATE  =  HEALTH,  YONMEK  =  MONKEY,  TRUGET  =  GUTTER,  EEEDCS  =  SECEDE,  NOYERR  =  ORNERY,  LUFOND  =  UNFOLD   —   Giving us:  HTONYTTRSEENRUF

Clue/Question:  The changing of the guard has been a regular occurrence since before the – – –

Pre-Answer:  Four Words  (4-letters)  (2-letters)  (3-letters)  “(6-letters)”

Answer:  TURN OF THE SENTRY

(A royally stinky pun!  More weird coincidences, too.  Last night, the Missus and I watched the movie “Darkest Hour”, about Winston Churchill taking over for Neville Chamberlain, as Prime Minister.  And, She just finished watching “Victoria & Abdul”.  So, occasionally, the Jumble and I are on the same plane.

There were no new clue words today, but four of the six jumbles came up as new.  We’ve definitely seen “truget” and “lufond” before.  I thought “hhlate” was a great jumble.  It made me think.  The answer letter layout was a wonderful jumble, and I don’t think it gave anything away.  I figured the middle words were OF THE, and that was enough for me to see the rest of the answer.  And, of course the quotation marks were a big help!

Wonderful cartoon, too.  Beautiful gates and palace.  Great tourist guide.  And, I liked the lady tourist’s fanny-pack showing!  Lots of fun.  Are our guys great, or what?  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
