Answer: JUST HER TYPE
(A romantic pun, for a Friday. There’s even a certain relationship about it. Love is a matter of the heart. And, what does the heart do? It pumps the blood throughout our bodies. There you go! Thank you, Captain Obvious!
Somehow, the clue word “slyly” is coming up as new. It seems kind of familiar though. Perhaps we’ve seen it since the last version of the ralis95 clue word database was released??? My copy is read only, so I can’t add to it, and therefore . . . I dunno. We definitely haven’t seen it with this particular jumble, I can tell you that. If it’s truly new, I guess the boss man will have to update for it. We have seen the jumble “plutip” before. I was able to see all the clue words right away today. The answer letter layout was another dandy of a jumble. Nicely cryptic.
Nice hospital room cartoon. The patient even is wearing one of those ID bracelets that they give you. I’ve lost track of how much blood I’ve donated throughout my life. It’s got to be about 13 gallons, or so. I started when I was 18, and I’ve been doing it pretty steadily for about 43 years. There used to be more of an appreciation for it, but they don’t do as much as far as recognition goes, nowadays. Many companies used to entice their employees to donate, by offering them some small reward, or even a personal day. And, three or more donations in a year would generate some kind of bonus reward. And, they used to give out pins when you reached different gallon levels, and you might be listed with other gallon level donors, in some kind of news letter. Now, it’s more wham, bam, thank you ma’am. Hit the road, Jack! Part of the problem is that there doesn’t seem to be any centralized records of the donations. But, part of it is they’ve just become too cheap, and lazy, to recognize the effort. I still do it, because I know it’s necessary. But, the lack of gratitude is a little disheartening. Such is 21st Century America, I guess! Be well and do good, friends. Donate blood! The top picture would definitely entice me!) — YUR
