Clue/Question: Little Red Riding hood’s “Grandmother” was in a hurry to eat and – – –

Answer: WOLFED IT DOWN
(Someone needs to refresh my memory. Did the Big Bad Wolf eat Grandma, and then take her place? Or, did he decide that she was probably too scrawny/stringy to bother with, and just tie her up somewhere? Or, was she just off on an ocean cruise somewhere? It’s been a long time since I’ve read this fairy tale.
All of today’s clue words are old favorites, although all of their jumbles appear to be new. I didn’t struggle with any of them today. The answer letter layout was a nice 12-letter jumble, that was not too obvious. The answer is a great old expression. Very descriptive.
The cartoon was a lot of fun. I always wondered if Little Red was a special needs kid, or something. How do you not immediately see that the creature in Grandma’s bed is not Grandma? Furry face, big black nose, pointy ears . . . dog breath! C’mon, kid! What the heck were you thinking? There’s a picture of you and Grandma right on the wall! And, isn’t there supposed to be some kind of funky subtext to this fairy tale? I dunno, guys. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
