“Age wrinkles the body; quitting wrinkles the soul.” — Douglas MacArthur
(Tough one to get started. And, I guess tough one to finish. “Wrinkle” was a little difficult. It helped that I was able to figure out “quitting” early on. Good quote. Doug was no dummy. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Tough guy who’s lost his composure with the absurds of Vietnam.
General MacArthur was probably a great soldier, tactician, and strategist, but not so good at taking orders, especially from politicians. That might be why President Truman sent General Eisenhower to take command of the European Theater.
Eisenhower had been a lieutenant colonel on MacArthur’s general staff, so he learned a thing or two about massaging egos of generals who outranked him like Field Marshall Montgomery.
