Answer: “CONCERT–ED“ EFFORT
(This pun . . . was like music to my ears! A classical effort, from our two Jumble gentlemen. Conducted with style and flair. Very well orchestrated, indeed.
And, on the seventh day, ralis95 rested! Yes, there were no new clue words this day. However, five of the six jumbles do appear to be new, with “sleuuf” the only one definitely having been used before. I had to skip, and come back to “cacure”, in order to get “accrue”. And for about a second, I was considering uncoop before I realized the clue word was “coupon”. Maybe I’ve been cooped up in this house too long! Hoyt’s answer letter layout was a dynamic, harmonic instrumentation of Jumble magic! Neither of the answer words stood out in it.
Jeff neatly captured the feel of a symphony orchestra and its conductor. Especially the conductor, with his turtleneck shirt, his bald pate with scraggly hair on the sides and back, and of course his baton. I’m a little surprised that the score on the music stand does not read: Jumble Cantata in E Major, or something similar. The guys usually don’t miss an opportunity for a plug! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
