Cryptoquote Spoiler – 07/14/18

Love grows more tremendously full, swift, poignant, as the years multiply.”   —   Jane ZANE Grey

(Such a tragic ending for such a well-educated young noblewoman.  She reluctantly accepted the crown, and ended up being called a traitor, and later executed.  At least this is something Meghan Markle shouldn’t have to worry about!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

(Never mind!  It’s Zane Grey, and not Jane Grey,!  It kind of makes sense when you consider the “as the years multiply” part.  See some of the comments for more.)   —   YUR

Apparently, it was Zane grey! I would never have guessed until the answer was in the paper this morning.

Lady Jane Grey was only 16 0r 17 when executed. These people were quite ruthless about protecting their power and influence.

Fortunately for Lady Meghan, she is far enough from the throne to not be a threat to any power seeker. However, it’s to her benefit to pay attention just in case she needs to leave town quickly.

Ya know, Anonymous, I was wondering what a 15-16 year old girl would know about “as the years multiply”! But, I guess because it dealt with “love” I assumed it was Jane! I don’t usually associate Zane Grey with love and poignancy. I almost never verify these quotes, unless I’m way off on solving the author. One letter makes a world of difference . . . but, I was close.

    Thanks for cluing me in!

Great stuff, lwc! But, it’s all for naught, as I messed up on the author. It’s Zane Grey, not Jane Grey!
I need to correct this one too! LOL! — YUR

Well, Mickey Mantle didn’t bat 1000, either.

It was still a good reading assignment about Lady Jane Grey.
It’s a reminder as to how ruthless political intrigue can get.
