(This man died 100 years ago, but I think he might fit in pretty well in today’s world.  Most of us tend to overthink a lot of things, especially the things like happiness.  Just get your attitude in order, and try to live in the moment.  If my high school French serves me well, Guillaume is the French version of William.  It might be the only reason I was able to come up with the author’s name.  This is Gui’s first quote to appear in the Cryptoquote, since I’ve been posting these spoilers.  Welcome to the Cryptoquote Club, sir!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Jumble Spoiler – 07/13/18

(This guy makes Gordon Gekko look like Pope Francis!  Maybe the best thing about this Jumble is that this A-Hole was convicted, not for his price gouging, but on two counts of securities fraud and one count of conspiring to commit securities fraud.  I won’t be posting any photos of this massive S-Heel, and I won’t even give him the satisfaction of posting his name, because this sorry excuse for humanity deserves neither.

There are no new clue words today.  However, two of the clue words do spell out in alphabetical order.  And, they are “deity” and “glossy”.  I can’t remember ever having two such words in a single Jumble, but my memory is far from perfect.  All of the jumbles came up as new.  I was able to see all the clue words instantly though.  The answer letter layout was entirely another thing.  This beautiful 14-letter jumble had me guessing for over a minute.  I don’t think there was anything obvious about it.

Great courtroom scene cartoon.  The shmuck’s smirk is dead-on!  And, the expressions on the jury faces are priceless.  Unfettered capitalism is bad enough, but it’s made even worse when sociopaths like this are calling the shots.  The conspiratorial part of my brain has to wonder if maybe this cad was put out there to make the actions of other CEOs and CFOs look acceptable.  Nothing really surprises me these days.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
