Answer: FLEW THE “COUPE“
(Excellent all-around Jumble! Great pun of a great old saying. And, a very amusing cartoon. None of the clue words are new, but three of the jumbles appear to be new today. They’ve definitely used “cofer” before. I hedged a little on “seesaw”. I didn’t know what else it would be, but I usually hesitate with compound words.
The answer letter layout was another super jumble. Twelve letters long, and nothing obvious about it.
But, the cartoon is hilarious! The converted jalopy, that had previously been on cinder blocks. The whole aerial shot of the barnyard, with some cows out in the pasture. The expression on the remaining chickens, with one of them pointing up into the sky. And, the farmer running in through the gate, concerned about a car that probably hasn’t run in ages! Topped off with the fleeing chicken, wearing goggles, controlling her heli-jalopy with a cyclic stick – it’s like a joystick – waving: Hasta luego! to all on the ground. An A+ performance all around! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
