Clue/Question: Sleepy Hollow’s infamous horseman was able to help his tug-o-war team – – –
Answer: PULL AHEAD
(Back to a good, old fashioned, stinky pun! Pun haters around the world are groaning in anguish. And, I love it! I prefer the simpler things in life. I mean, how many dry-witted English, puzzle/word games are out there, anyway? None that I would enjoy, I’m sure!
No new clue words today, yet all of the jumbles appear to be new. I saw the first three immediately. I considered UNLENT for the fourth, before I narrowed in on TUNNEL. The answer letter layout did a nice job of concealing the answer. It was another superlative jumble.
I think Jeff is trying to single-handedly keep this Washington Irving story alive, for the world to appreciate. It’s his go-to HEAD theme. Maybe, for a future sleeping, or bowling, pun he could draw up something with Rip Van Winkle! That would make yer uncle smile! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

The Headless Horseman … it’s too good for just Halloween!
Or, as James Franco would say, “Do what you love, at least a little bit.”
Yeah, truly, David and Jeff, the puzzles have been good lately. I look for flow between clue and answer, and you’re firing on all cylinders there this month, so I’m not really complaining here. But the golf and Headless Horseman themes have kinda been covered.
I’ll admit that today’s puzzle threw me briefly, because I saw room for a four-letter word in the final answer and knew HEAD Had To Be There, but when HEAD APULL went nowhere, I corrected what I typed and got it right. f you really want to go on with this, have h-e-a-d available in the final answer, and a fourl-letter word there, but avoid using HEAD. I’ll probably melt down trying to make to make it work, and you could laugh at me and all the other Jumble! obsessors.
I’d just suggest that maybe there are some other themes that can be explored, because most people aren’t thinking as much about Sleepy Hollow and golf as you guys are.
Unc on the other hand would be okay with moving on from people racing in circles, though I can’t get too much of that, myself. He and I are just different that way. I appreciated the two Indy 500 puzzles this month. Unc would have been cool with none. So there you are.
It took me a couple looks to get Tunnel as well. As far as the answer, I knew one of the words had to be Head. That left LUPAL, which gave me the answer. 😀
