Clue/Question: The trail the twins walked on had ended, so they decided to – – –
Answer: DOUBLE BACK
(Very stinky, but very logical. All old reliable clue words today. Three of the jumbles came up as new, with “bbrul” having definitely been used before. They all came to me quickly.
The answer letter layout was neatly cryptic – nothing too obvious about it. A fine jumble, in its own right.
Jeff’s twin cartoons are always fun. I like the meandering path over the rolling hills. The boys appear to be identical twins. It looks like a beautiful day in the cartoon, as it does here in the Hudson Valley today! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
PS. “Two for the Road” is a fairly obscure movie from 1967, starring Audrey Hepburn and Albert Finney. Not sure if I’ve seen the movie before, or not. Maybe. The title just kind of popped into my head. I think I was trying for a Hope and Crosby “Road” picture. — YUR

Well, I got the answer, but had no A to actually complete the puzzle. So I jumped to the conclusion the paper peeps messed up yet again. Oh…..not so. The husb pointed out I had VOUCH for HAVOC. I had glanced at the jumbled letters immediately wrote down VOUCH with no looking back.
And I’m playing catch-up ….again. My brother had hip replacement which took us away for a very busy week, my sister has had two surgeries and we get her biopsy results today, the husb had oral surgery…life can get so very busy so quickly. And here I thought that when I retired I’d be sitting on my sofa working my jumbles and eating chocolates! Now I’m wondering if that ever happens! LL
SO glad you’re back, LindaLee! I was starting to worry about you, lady. Yeah, the jumble for HAVOC did make me think about VOUCH for a couple seconds, before I saw that A. We all get tripped up by little things, from time to time. Sorry about all of life’s woes, but . . . Welcome back, kiddo! — YUR
