Clue/Question: Before they fully understood flight, the Wroght Brothers could often be seen – – –
Answer: WINGING IT
(Another one of the classic go-to themes! Wilbur and Orville, back home in their Dayton bike shop, no doubt. All of today’s clue words are familiar old friends, as well as the jumble “ugatoe”. The other three jumbles came up as new. None seemed very tough today.
The answer letter layout was an admirable jumble, but it kinda gave up wing, in a way. The big clues came up in the cartoon’s dialog, and in the cartoon itself.
Another great period piece, although you still get the feeling it could be the present too. I’m just guessing that that’s a partial wing prototype in front of Wilbur’s desk. The lone bicycle wheel looks a little pathetic. I think I’d take my bike to one of their competitors, if I really needed my bike fixed. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Apparently, my wife is related to them, via a not completely disclosed and/or acknowledged extra marital affair of one of her mother’s ancestors. Doubts remain, though.
@colltales: You provide an allegation of dirt on one of two guys who in my neck of the woods (Outer Banks of NC) are untouchable icons. Do I kiss you or curse you? Doubts remain but then again what would be an incentive for you to invent this? None. I guess the lesson is: no hero may truly be a hero especially when he never held himself out to be one. I can live it for I am no hero myself.
