Clue/Question: When firefighters rescued the kittens from a tree, they averted a – – –
Answer: “CAT–ASTROPHE“
(Classic stinky pun! But, very cute too! None of the clue words are new, but three of the jumbles appear to be. The only one I struggled with is the one we’ve had before, “HOYTER”. No doubt David’s favorite jumble.
The answer letter layout was another fine jumble, which led to a fairly long answer, for a Monday! Nothing about it was obvious to me.
The cartoon is a fine example of a hook and ladder unit. I guess there were three in the tree. 9 times out of 10 cats are going to come down from the tree all on their own. But, firemen are usually glad to accommodate. Great Monday Jumble. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Hey Unc, waiting for the NCAA men’s championship game & hoping Michigan will do what is necessary! Watching The Force Awakens till then & wondering where u was. Always good to “see” you. Found an easy Jumble today which is good cuz it keeps us coming back, eh? Once I got cat, the quote marks made the rest easy. So let’s just hope there are no blue cat-astrophes at the GAME! Go Blue!!!
Hi Barb,
My newspaper left out the Living section yesterday! Had a house full of people all afternoon into the evening. Printed out the puzzles from the online newspaper, that I get in my email, around 9:00 last night. But, I was too tired to do them.
I fear it’s going to be a tough, uphill battle for Blue. I’ll be rooting for them (don’t tell Jeff) but they have been overachieving this tournament, and Villanova just looks fearsome. But Go Blue! — YUR
Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be. A hot hand by that one Nova guy pretty much sunk Blue. It might have been closer if it wasn’t for him. Yeah, Hoyter really stuck out there to me as well. 🙂
