Clue/Question: To get his tools where they needed to be, the auto mechanic had to – – –
Answer: LUG WRENCHES
(A perfectly inflated pun! I wouldn’t be surprised if this gave some of you a little trouble. Even though all of the clue words were old friends, all of the jumbles are coming up as new. I hesitated on “wacky” because I always think it’s whacky.
The answer letter layout was a sublime jumble. I think it gave absolutely nothing away.
The cartoon does a great job of showing the guy struggling with all of his wrenches. Even if he had his tool box he’d still be lugging his wrenches. Right? Fun Jumble though. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Yes, it was not a pushover today, UR. Not a lot of vowels for 11 letters. Then again, when it comes to auto mechanics, I’m pretty much a lug anyway.
Aah you shuu-ah??? — YUR
You’re right, Unc, after the easier Sunday-Monday-Tuesday puzzles this week, David & Jeff came up with another puzzle I needed a fair amount of extra time to solve. I decided the easiest way to get this final answer was to first find a three-letter verb. First I used USE. That would leave only one vowel for the eight-letter noun that follows–not likely. Then I ran with RUN. That seemed promising but went nowhere. Couldn’t come up with another three-letter verb–I’d still be looking tomorrow if I had to find LUG that way–and finally bailed on the three-letter verb idea. I needed careful study of the cartoon to see exactly what tools our mechanic was holding, and that wasn’t obvious either, but finally I got it, longer second word first.
Was I complaining the puzzles had gotten too easy?? I don’t think so. I could do with some more HEAD-TO-HEADs. No not really. Good puzzle guys!
Head-scratch-on, all.

“Now if Mr. Trotter wishes to voir dire the witness as to the extent of her expertise in this area, I’m sure he’s gonna be more than satisfied.”

Wow, took like forever to get the answer even tho I got all the words. And Unc, it’s one of my all time favorite movies, with my ignition timing at top dead center. 😂
