Springtime is the land awakening.  The March winds are the morning yawn.”   —   Lewis Grizzard

(A generally very descriptive summation of things.  This year we’re looking at 36° on the first day of Spring, and there is still snow on the ground.  They’re even talking about more snow coming in the next few days.  Then, I’m sure we’ll shoot right up to 70° for a week.  Then to 80°+ for the rest of the “Spring”.  We’ll likely see a heatwave before the Summer solstice.  I miss the old, more predictable seasons.  This guy, Grizzard, lived a short but interesting life.  But, look at all of the fun that he’s missing out on!  Be well and do good, my friends.  Happy Spring.)   —   YUR

Answer:  CAUSED A FLAP

(I like it!  A good stinky pun.  It was just out there enough so it wasn’t obvious.  All of the clue words were old favorites.  Three of the jumbles appear to be new, with “clorsl” having been definitely  used before.

The answer letter layout was an awesome jumble.  David Hoyt is really on top of his game.

Jeff’s cartoon proves what an artist he is.  I really enjoyed the perspective.  A real bird’s eye view.  The bird might look a little angry, but I’m betting that he/she is just scared.  Open a door and a window, or two, and they’ll find their way out.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
