“Truth, like gold, is to be obtained not by its growth, but by washing away from it all that is not gold.” — Leo Tolstoy
(It’s like I’m frequently telling you, folks. The truth needs to be uncovered. Don’t take all that we’re told, and shown, as “truth”. Train yourselves to read between the lines. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Unc, what you’re asking us to do is hard.
Who can you believe when everybody’s lying about something ?
Poppycock, lwc! Do you believe when that guy from India, named “Kevin”, calls you and tells you he’s from Windows Support, and he wants to connect to your computer??? (I sure hope not.) You just need to have a healthy suspicious nature. When it comes to news, you have to ask yourself questions like: Why are they phrasing it this way? The media loves to manipulate the public. They push the Us vs Them agenda all the time. They demonize Them, and glorify Us. You have to have the mindset of Follow The Money, and Who Benefits from this perspective they’re pushing?
Not everybody is lying. Sometimes you have to read, or listen, to two extreme opposite viewpoints, and then extrapolate that the truth lies somewhere in the middle.
I’m certainly no genius, but I know enough to know when the guy who’s pissing on me, while telling me “It’s Raining”, is full of crap-ola. Harken back to the days when you listened to the story of “The Emporer’s New Clothes”, and remember the lesson. It is not all that hard, my friend.
Peace,

The two most important concepts I’ve learned thus far is because of Republican administration:
From Nixon and Watergate we got: “follow the money”.
If we learn to do at least that much, we’ll eventually get to the bottom of the snake pit where the whole mess was hatched.
And from Reagan we got “trust but verify”.
That reminds me of karate class. Before every bout, the two opponents will face each other and bow. But, while you’re bowing, keep your eyes open and fixed directly on your opponent. It’s not unheard of that an opponent might take a cheap at you while you’re not looking. Since the bout hadn’t started, yet, cheap shots are not illegal.
I wander how many of our politicians do karate ?
