(Ta da!  We have our first new clue word of 2018, with “raffle”!  Someone wake ralis95.  He’s got a little updating to do with his world famous clue word database!  I thought “jovial” might be new, because I can’t remember it being used before.  But, I suppose it could’ve been prior to March of 2008.  And, all of today’s jumbles also appear to be new.  The answer letter layout made for another great jumble.  The cartoon is a fine, granular and gritty Mid-West farm scene.  Great way to start the week.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
