Jumble Spoiler – 01/04/18

Visual Description:  The touchy subject.

PORAN  =  APRON,  SITOH  =  HOIST,  RETVDI  =  DIVERT,  CRAEDA  =  ARCADE   —   Giving us:  APOHISTIETRCE

Clue/Question:  He wanted to bring up the subject of a pay increase but was afraid to – – –

Answer:  RAISE THE TOPIC

(Wow!  A nice, long 13-letter answer!  Not the toughest answer , but not the easiest as well.  I could see that the unspoken word was RAISE, and the probability of THE was definitely very high for the second word.  Writing out POITC brought me to TOPIC.

All of the clue words today are old favorites, again.  There are two new jumbles, with “poran” and “sitoh” having been used in the past.  No funky biases for me today, as I was able to see all the clue words instantly.  Maybe I was just in the zone.  The answer letter layout did not give away anything.  It was a super jumble.  The cartoon nicely conveyed a nervous employee, trying to work up the courage to ask his boss for a raise.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
