We are one, our cause is one, and we must help each other, if we are to succeed.”   —   Frederick Douglass

(A great quote, from a great man!  I got a question for all the people who – so lightly – respond with Blue Lives Matter, or All Lives Matter.  Do you realize/comprehend that it’s NOT Just Black Lives Matter, but Black Lives Matter Too???  Or, are your hearts and heads just so full of hatred that you can’t see when other people are being oppressed?  We all have so much more in common, once you get past our cosmetic differences.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Clue/Question:  The new national book club had – – –

(Wow!  A nice, long, 13-letter answer.  And, a great pun to boot!  We even have a new clue word today, in “vastly”.  Our good friend, ralis95, will have to update his world famous clue word database once again.  And, all of today’s jumbles came up as new.  The answer letter layout was very impressive.  Nothing stood out as obvious.  Something about the clue/question, and the cartoon’s dialog, both mentioning *national* made me immediately think of LOCAL.  From PACESTHR it didn’t take any time for me to come up with CHAPTERS.  Nice cartoon.  The title of the book is:  A Jumbled Life!  And, in these types of cartoons, you can usually expect the obligatory I ❤ Jumble mug!  As a special someone is wont to say:  A grand jumbler!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Answer:  WON BY A NOSE

(How else would he win?  A nice, stinky pun for Christmas Day!  All of the clue words are old friends, but their jumbles all appear to be new.  I don’t think they were all that difficult.  The answer letter layout was a dandy jumble too.  But, with Rudolph you just have to know that “nose” is going to be part of the answer.  The cartoon was very fun.  Kind of an alternate version of the reindeer games when Rudolph was a yearling.  It is one of my favorite Christmas cartoon specials though.  That, along with A Charlie Brown Christmas.  Both of them have some very memorable songs/music!  I hope all of you had a very merry Christmas, and enjoyed the company of family and friends.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

A Message Stuffed in the Butt
& Other Breaking Jesus News

At this point, whether Jesus, a.k.a., the Nazarene, – whom two billion call the son of god – has even existed, is beside the point. A busybody for over two millennia, we dare naming J.C., ‘most likely to succeed’ as Fab Fav of all supreme invisible beings out there. (Please don’t curse).
News about the carpenter ran the gamut, this year. Archeologists, fussy about a tomb – his? – and a town, where apostles lived, came up again short of evidence. Just as skeptical scholars can’t say for sure he’s not real. Plus new Jesuses, and of course, the secret stuck in the butt.
But such biased coverage had at least one merit: it counterbalanced the continuous, and malodorous, flood of stories about some D.C. dude, who believes he’s god too. And naturally, the depressing headlines about the world we…

Pre-Answer:  Three Words (or Two sorta Words)  (4-letters)  “(3-letters)”-(6-letters)

(Definitely NOT a gimme!  You had to kind of look for the word that wasn’t being used in the clue/question, or in the cartoon’s dialog.  And, of course, the quotation marks came in handy.  But, then I started worrying about the possibility of the answer not being “politically correct”.  Because just about ANYTHING you say, do, or even think can be offensive to someone these days.  You know what I say to that, don’t you?  F_ _ _  IT!

But, back to this marvelous Jumble!  All of today’s clue words are old friends, as is the jumble “pehhny”.  The other five jumbles came up as new.  I almost started to write out merger instead of “emerge”, but I caught myself.  The others I saw instantly.  Hey!  the clue word “glossy” spells out in alphabetical order!  The answer letter layout gave absolutely nothing away.  It took me a couple of looks to figure out the answer.  The only vowels were the I and all those Es, so that was a help.  And then, the quotation marks gave me ELF . . . once I was fairly sure that that wasn’t offensive.  Which, of course led me to ESTEEM.  And finally, I got HIGH.  Well, I didn’t get high!  It’s a little early in the day for that.  But, you know what I mean.  Really cute cartoon.  Fantastic Santa, cute elves, great Big Wheel, a little mallet on the work bench, and some very patient reindeer outside the window, in the snow.  Lots of fun, with this great Christmas Eve pun.  Beautiful Jumble, boys!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

(Every now and then the guys like to throw us a little misdirection.  The mime aspect works great with the dialog, but really has nothing to do with the answer.  It seems strange to me, but it looks like “shrank” is a new clue word.  The list has shrink and shrunk, but no shrank.  Our good pal, ralis95, will have to update his world famous clue word database accordingly.  All of today’s jumble came up as new.  A nice, long, and cryptic, answer letter layout.  If the mimes threw you any, you might’ve had a hard time deciphering the answer letter layout.  But, the cartoon is a lot of fun.  My son has always been a huge fan of TV wrestling.  He’s 30 years old now, and it’s more important to him than any conventional sport.  My boy will never grow up.  At least I hope he doesn’t.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
