Visual Description: Philadelphia, Denver, or San Francisco?
TYTKI = KITTY, VICCI = CIVIC, GIDNIO = INDIGO, NIWONM = MINNOW — Giving us: ITTCIINDOMNNO
Clue/Question: When the coin-production facility was completed, it was in – – –
Answer: MINT CONDITION
(This one made me chuckle! “The coin-production facility”! Ya gotta love it! All of the clue words are familiar old friends, yet all of the jumbles came up as new. The answer letter layout was actually an excellent jumble. If you didn’t pick up from the clue/question, and the cartoon and its dialog, you might have had some difficulty deciphering the answer letter layout. The cartoon is a fun period piece. From the clothing, I’m guessing this is the Denver Mint, opened in 1906. But, I could be wrong. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
I love it when the Jumble guys give us a numismatic cartoon! I scanned this and sent it to several folks in the coin club. Alas, not many coin collectors are also word puzzle lovers.
I collected pennies, as a boy, Roy! And, I also have the 50 State quarter map thing! I haven’t seen a national parks one, but I figure there must be one. They didn’t seem to publicize the parks one, like they did the states one. Kind of strange, in my opinion.

Those are not as popular as 50 State quarter maps, but they do exist …

I had a penny and nickel collection when I was a kid. I also collected the state quarters as well. Though I just have one of every state; one of my friends at work was collecting each state from each mint. I started, but never really finished that one.
As for today’s Jumble, Indigo was the toughie, and the answer didn’t come right away either.
Thanks, Roy! I figured they had to exist. Maybe I’ll order one. I still don’t understand why the mints aren’t promoting the parks, like they did the states. I always got a little rush when they’d announce a new state quarter. I didn’t even realize they were doing parks, until I saw the first one. Don’t ask me which one it was, because I don’t even know the order of these parks!
