YAOLR = ROYAL, UHNBC = BUNCH, NASOSE = SEASON, SLUDOH = SHOULD — Giving us: OABNSSSO
Clue/Question: The woodwind player went fishing with his buddy and hoped to catch a – – –
Answer: BASS SOON
(A nicely stinky pun. Almost worthy of quotation marks! All old favorite clue words, with two of the jumbles appearing to be new. We’ve definitely seen “nasose” and “sludoh” before. “Sludoh” puts me in mind of Play-Doh! The answer letter layout was an angling little jumble too. But, the cartoon’s dialog, and the clue/question, made getting the answer relatively easy. I particularly liked how the *buddy*, sporting the cap with the eighth notes, mentioned she was stuck in the reeds. Maybe she’s a musician too. And, I always like when Jeff shows fish just below the surface of the water. Another fun Jumble! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
Is there some sort of fishy anniversary I don’t know about today? Both Rhymes With Orange and Tundra comic strips also involved a bass!
LOL! No, but it is National Cocoa Day! — YUR
Didn’t get Season, but did figure out the puzzle. My problem was that I had the wrong letters for backing into the answer. 😦
