Today’s Ours…

Great words from Ruby Dee, via Seyi Sandra! Enjoy, friends. — YUR

Seyi Sandra David

Life’s full of uncertainties, and honestly, we just have to live on regardless of what the day may bring.

How do we really deal with stuff we aren’t expecting? Do we curl up in a ball and bawl our eyes out, or do we just ride the storm? Do we fight with clenched teeth ready to conquer? I say we live each day believing that we have the strength to overcome whatever comes our way.

Ruby Dee was an American actress and writer’s whose words positively impacted my life:

Today is ours, let’s live it.
And love is strong, let’s give it.
A song can help, let’s sing it.
And peace is dear, let’s bring it.
The past is gone, don’t rue it.
Our work is here, let’s do it.
The world is wrong, let’s right it.
The battle is hard, let’s fight it.
The road is rough, let’s clear it.

Every gift which is given, even though small, is in reality great, if it is given with affection.”   —   Pindar

(When my buddy, Chris, buys me a beer at the bar, I’m almost brought to tears.  I had to write out the remaining letters, DJKPQXZ, to come up with the author.  But, it didn’t take long after that.  This appears to be our first Pindar quote, since I’ve been posting the spoilers.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Answer:  BASS SOON

(A nicely stinky pun.  Almost worthy of quotation marks!  All old favorite clue words, with two of the jumbles appearing to be new.  We’ve definitely seen “nasose” and “sludoh” before.  “Sludoh” puts me in mind of Play-Doh!  The answer letter layout was an angling little jumble too.  But, the cartoon’s dialog, and the clue/question, made getting the answer relatively easy.  I particularly liked how the *buddy*, sporting the cap with the eighth notes,  mentioned she was stuck in the reeds.  Maybe she’s a musician too.  And, I always like when Jeff shows fish just below the surface of the water.  Another fun Jumble!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
