Clue/Question: With each tentacle holding food, the octopus – – –
Answer: “EIGHT” HIS DINNER
(I didn’t get the final answer right away. I got the clue words right away, but the answer didn’t register with me, for a minute or two. Initially, due to the wording of the clue/question, I figured that the first word was past tense, and had to end in ED. But then, I guess, the quotation marks clued me into the pun aspect of the answer, and I saw EIGHT. From NEDIRN I quickly surmised DINNER. Fun pun! We actually appear to have a new clue word today, in “gritty”. Our dear friend, ralis95, will have to add this to his world famous clue word database. We’ve seen the jumble “nemoy” before, but the other three seem to be new. Definitely “gtiyrt”. The answer letter layout was a master jumble. I saw absolutely nothing obvious about it. The cartoon is fantastic! The octopus has a slice of pizza in one tentacle, shrimp in the next, then a fish sandwich, a hotdog, then – I guess – the sushi, an ice cream cone, a burger, and finally a dead fish! And, he’s being observed by a nice puffer-fish. And, in the background, you can see the wreckage of the famous – formerly sinking – sailboat! So, this Jumble has lots to like.
