Clue/Question: When asked what inspired him to write a lengthy book, J.R.R. Tolkien said – – –
Answer: IT’S A LONG STORY
(You can say THAT again! Nice pun. I know that – technically – he was not a librettist, but his stories have a kind of operatic quality to them. I’ve just never really been a fan of his kind of fantasy. I suppose it’s why I also never got into Game of Thrones. It’s kind of hard to explain, but I guess it’s just not my cup of tea.
We actually have a new clue word today though! Yes, our dear friend, ralis95, will have to add “gooey” to his world famous clue word database! And, all the other jumbles came up as new, as well. But, my internet is acting up somewhat today, so I couldn’t really swear that they’re all new. Phantasmagorical answer letter layout! Again, maybe not the most accurate word for this situation, but I was trying to work in the fantasy angle. Fantastic cartoon! A great likeness of the great man. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Clue/Question: The quarterbacks who didn’t get along were – – –
Pre-Answer: Two Words (7-letters) (10-letters)
Answer: PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE
(I was a little surprised that the Answer wasn’t set up with a hyphen and quotation marks! Either: “PASS”-IVE, or “PASS-IVE”. Which would’ve made more sense, my fellow word nerds??? It didn’t slow me any from getting the answer, but this did hit me upon completion. Thankfully, for ralis95’s benefit, there were no new clue words this day. Five of the jumbles came up as new, with “gaveyo” having been used before. I was able to see all the clue words instantly. No struggling. The answer letter layout was a strong jumble. Nothing super obvious there. With only the P and the R not being repeated in the answer, it wasn’t all that tough for me to see the answer. Great cartoon. The one guy looks a little like Kenny Stabler, or Ben Roethlisberger. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
