(Both stinky and timely!  The post season just started last night, with the Yankees besting the Twins 8 – 4, in the AL Wildcard match up.  The Yanks will go on to face the mighty Cleveland Indians, in an ALDS match up.  The Rockies and Diamondbacks square off tonight, in the NL Wildcard game.  Post season baseball is a lot of fun.  I just miss the old days when it was all on network television.

None of today’s clue words are new, but all of the jumbles appear to be.  The jumble for “dainty” was the only one I didn’t see right away.  Our David L. Hoyt definitely hit one out of the park, with today’s answer letter layout!  Nothing about that jumble gave any of the answer away.  Am I the only one who wonders why home run has not become a compound word yet???  Very amusing cartoon.  I liked how all you see of the catcher is his mitt.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
