Visual Description: Equine eats.
CUHHT = HUTCH, MEECE = EMCEE, RAYALS = SALARY, TYUJLS = JUSTLY — Giving us: HHEEARTY
Clue/Question: When the farmer greeted the horses at feeding time, he said – – –
Answer: “HAY“ THERE
(Ya can’t go wrong with the classics! Nor with horsies! We appear to have a new clue word today, in “hutch”. It’s not in my latest version of the ralis95 world famous clue word database. So, I guess our dear friend will have to add it to his reminder list, for editing purposes. I’m not a fan of the *word* “emcee”. How did they ever legitimize that? Within the context of talking about a Master of Ceremonies, is MC really too vague for some??? I think that some of the people who are responsible for adding words to the dictionary are about as bright as too many of our elected leaders! All of the jumbles came up as new. I thought “rayals” was pretty good. The answer letter layout was good, for an eight letter answer. But, this answer leapt off the page, like an Olympian steeplechase horse! Yer uncle always likes cartoons with horsies. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
Yes indeed, a down-home pun, but I was thrown off by thinking the first word was EAT. HEY EARTH didn’t seem to make sense, either. Then it dawned on me … PS, I don’t have any problem with EMCEE as a word, but the particular scrambling reminded me of a former Attorney General, not one of DOJ’s finer moments.
Lovely Monday jumble! Not mind boggling, not easy-peasy, just right!!
Beautiful picture Unc! An amazing animal! LindaLee
Linda Lee, agreed about the beautiful picture- say, along the same lines, check out Nancy Noel’s ‘Jumping for America’ (United States Equestrian Team) print…it is a beautiful painting I think you’ll love!
Thanks Jenn! LL
