Clue/Question: After being dealt a royal flush, the poker player had a – – –
Pre-Answer: Four Words (5-letters) (4-letters) (2-letters) (5-letters)
Answer: GREAT DEAL OF CHIPS
(Must’ve had a great poker face, too! No new clue words today, yet all of the jumbles came up as new. I can’t say I struggled with any of them. The answer letter layout was another matter though. I thought that it was a wonderful jumble that did a great job of concealing the answer. I didn’t see CHIPS at all, at first. And, I thought that the middle two words might be PAIR OF. The remaining TASELDCEGH did give me DEALS, and that was enough for me to change things up. Swell cartoon! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
I was absolutely certain that I needed a U to solve this great weekend ending/week starting jumble! The husb checked my letters and said I was good to go and that DEAL OF was correct. So, I went from there. CHIPS threw me for some reason. With the comment I was thinking it was “some word-DEAL OF GUILT.” In the end, I got ‘er done! YEA! Linda Lee
I eliminated the word deal, because dealt was in the clue. 😦
Our local paper left off the bottom of the Jumble grid for this Sunday . Seems like lately there’s been several comments about newspapers dropping the ball a bit one way or another, when it comes to the Jumble. Proofreaders on vacation, I suppose!
