Answer:  MESSING AROUND

(Mama bringin’ the hammer down!  A good, stinky pun.  All familiar clue words, with two new jumbles.  We’ve definitely had “pruus” and “narmen” before.  Isn’t Narmen the feminine of Norman???  I didn’t struggle with any of today’s jumbles, and I’m still not the biggest fan of Un words.  Sure, they’re legitimate words, but I just think they are uncool.  I really enjoyed the answer letter layout.  It kind of spells out SIRGODMANNICE, which sort of describes yer uncle, when you come to think of it.  LOL!  Actually, I think it did a wonderful job of disguising the answer.  I saw nothing obvious in it.  Another great, highly detailed cartoon.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

PS.  The cartoon at the top is one of my favorites from my newspaper’s comics section.  It’s called “Zits”, by Jerry Scott and Jim Borgman.  My son, Derek, is 30 now, but “Jeremy” still makes me think of my boy.     YUR

UR, ‘Zits’ is one of our favorite comics, too! My kids are 27 and 23, and I still either text or mail them Zits comics that strike amazingly and humorously close to home!

Gotta join in as a “Zits” fan, always makes me chuckle, along with “Pickles” & the great “Pearls Before Swine”. Comics, the Jumble & Unc, and the crossword, my day is good. Take care Unc, hope ur son is well.

I struggled with this final answer despite the obvious -ING. I had to back off from trying to unscramble the letters and just think about the two words that would complete the sentence in the clue, and then got it right away. Duh.

You’re hitting all of my favorites. Barb! I’m also a fan of a strip called “Rhymes With Orange”, by Hilary Price! The lady is great at playing off – the very strange – English language! “The Boy” seems to be okay, thank you! Glad I can help to make your day. — YUR

What’s obvious to one, is difficult for another, David. Vive le difference! — YUR

Lots of ‘U’ words today. I always look for UN first, but those are usually rare. Then I have to think more.

I like Pearls Before Swine. The Crocs are my favorite (Zeeba Neighba!), and Rat.

I admit, I did reference Zits to get the messy room right. No one does teenagers better than Jim Borgman.
