Visual Description: Just a little nip and tuck.
AROCG = CARGO, SEVOH = SHOVE, TOCONT = COTTON, RRIMPE = PRIMER — Giving us: AROSHOOTTOPRME
Clue/Question: The plastic surgeon who was known for leaving no scars was a – – –
Answer: SMOOTH OPERATOR
(This was not automatic for me, by a longshot! I think it’s long overdue for longshot to be considered a compound word! Because of the excellent answer letter layout, and the cartoon’s dialog, I thought that the first word was going to be MASTER. But, that left me with ROHOOTOP! I don’t think anything can be done with that. But, there was enough there for me to see OPERATOR, which then gave me SMOOTH. All of today’s clue words are old favorites. Three of the jumbles came up as new, but we’ve definitely seen “rrimpe” before. Great cartoon! It looks like our nurse has had some work done. I can’t make out what she’s holding in her hand though. Is it relevant, or is there . . . “No need to ask”? Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
Heh I too immediately heard Sade singing in my head when I hit on the Final Answer. That one did present above-average challenge with its two longer words and a cartoon that was a good clue but gave nothing away.
The nurse is holding an oxygen mask.
