Clue/Question: He fell off the treadmill because he wasn’t – – –
Pre-Answer: Two Words (10-letters) (7-letters)
Answer: EXERCISING CAUTION
(Wow! A nice challenging Sunday Jumble! And, a decent pun! We actually have a new clue word today, in “gurney”. Ralis95 will have to update his world famous clue word database. And, all of today’s jumbles came up as new. That’s always a little surprising. I had to back into two of today’s jumble words. One was my old nemesis “tycoon”, and the other was today’s new addition, “gurney”. Fortunately, I was able to figure out the Jumble’s answer from IICARXICGES. Even with only one “E”, and no “N” I could see EXERCISING. Then CAUTION just made sense. Great cartoon! Guys like him always bug me. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
Yup, GURNEY hung me up big time with its uncommon letter pattern–new addition to my list of Challenging Jumble Words as well. Nice puzzle overall–a poser for sure.
That was me again.
Tycoon has always been a real toughie for me, to the point where I’m now on alert for those letters, and that dreaded word… and gurney nearly gave me a headache trying to solve! Words like tycoon and gurney keep me very humble!
Hey! We’re all pretty much on the same page today! Hoyt deserves kudos, for the great Jumble!!! — YUR
I had the most trouble with genius! Rather ironic! Then I was thinking the last word was RUNNING, then realized I’d run out of Ns. I reversed all of the clue letters, and found the answer!!! Great Sunday puzzler!!!
Have a grand week all! LL
GENIUS, TYCOON, and AUTHOR are all previous trip-me-up words I do unscramble on sight now. LindaLee, I bet part of what hung you up with GENIUS (it certainly did here the first time I saw it in Jumble) was recognizing -ING and having trouble letting go of USEING or SUEING which of course are misspellings of the five-letter verb forms, aka gerunds. Have we ever had GERUND in Jumble, Unc? Maybe a little too uncommon a word for the guys to use. It would be a tough one though.
I don’t remember ever seeing gerund, David! Could those letter possibly spell another word? — YUR
A person who pokes you gently with his elbow could be a NUDGER. It’s a long shot, you know. The act of poking would be a GERUND.
Yeah, NUDGER! That’s legit. That means GERUND can’t be a Jumble clue word. Too bad. Thanks, hal!

David, you are right on!!! LL
