TYHEM = THYME, TAIRO = RATIO, TRAEAK = KARATE, ARUBUE = BUREAU — Giving us: THERATKAEBREA
Clue/Question: After scuba diving for hours, they were ready to – – –

Answer: TAKE A BREATHER
(Decent pun. I have to say that I was a little disappointed with verbal aspect of today’s Jumble. I’m guessing that Hoyt was just taking a little breather. All old favorite clue words. Both “tairo” and “arubue” have been used before. And I thought “tyhem” was a little too obvious. I did like the jumble for “karate” though. At first, I thought the answer letter layout was fun, as the first six letters spelled out THE RAT. But, as I looked at the middle of it, I clearly saw TAKE in the letters TKAE. Then, I saw the end of the answer letter layout had the first four letters of BREATHER, and then I noticed the THER at the beginning! I can’t remember a more obvious answer letter layout. Especially, one as long as thirteen letters. Oh, well. I guess he can’t be killing it every single day. The cartoon was top-shelf though. Lots of attention to detail. The nice boat on the water, with little fishies swimming underneath. The two wet swimmers, a pair of flippers on the ledge, the two scuba tanks, and a mask on the little table. While off in the distance we had some little palm trees, some puffy clouds, and the classic sinking sailboat on the horizon! And, the whole thing brought back a television memory from my childhood! Lots of fun! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
