“Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can’t lose.” — Bill Gates
(How is this our first Bill Gates quote??? I don’t know, but it appears to be, at least since I’ve been posting these spoilers. It’s a good quote though. We learn from our mistakes and failures, not from our victories. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
That is an excellent quote from Bill Gates and a warning.
Parents with really smart kids, the ones who get straight ‘A’s, have to be more vigilante, especially for the kids who are smart and adventuresome. They become so confident of things they can do, but without being aware of what they can’t, or shouldn’t, do.
I saw the same phenomenon in Marine Corps aviation. The best, more skillful pilots were the ones more likely to get in trouble because they were depended on more to complete missions and got less command supervision.
