(I like when Jeff takes us back to an earlier era!  It’s been quite a while since tennis has seen a bad boy like this.  Our friend, Wes, must be very happy that Roger Federer – the opposite of a bad boy – won Wimbledon . . . again!  He turns 36 in a couple of weeks, so you have to wonder how much longer he’s going to want to play.  With two young sets of twins, he might want to cash in, and devote the bulk of his time being a dad.  But, who knows?

No new clue words today, but five new jumbles!  Hoyt has definitely used “luwant” before.  The answer letter layout was cryptic 16-letter jumble.  It took me a couple of looks to come up with the answer.  I was thinking it might be LOST something, but there was no S.  I think the cartoon, showing the stages of the racket, and the motion swoosh, is what brought me to FLEW.  And the rest just fell into place.  I recognize the sore loser, but I can only guess that the winner might be André Agassi . . . back when he had hair, of course!  Probably Boris Becker though.  Great Sunday Jumble.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
