Answer:  WATER–TIGHT

(Excellent pun, and excellent Jumble!  None of the clue words were new, but all of today’s jumbles were.  I had to think to get “motto”, and I almost had to back into “cohort”.  But, I got it!  I’m not sure if I would’ve figured out the answer without it.  I thought it was a challenging solve, and the answer letter layout did not make an easy solve.  Fun cartoon!  Maybe they’ve stumbled upon the Lost City of Atlantis!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
