Clue/Question: When they sang songs at the summit, they sang them – – –
Answer: FROM THE TOP
(A very nice, stinky pun! All of the clue words are old favorites, again. We’ve seen “praat” before, but the other jumbles are coming up as new. The answer letter layout was a superb jumble. It gave nothing away. I don’t have the cartoon in front of me, as I never received the newspaper today, and I wrote it free-hand, from viewing it on ArkansasOnline.com. But, I’m sure the cartoon was the pinnacle of Jeff’s abilities! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
The secret words were not a giveaway, UR. I had to write out the letters, and take it DA CAPO …
“DA CAPO …”??? I’m not catching your drift, friend. — YUR
I thought ROMPIT looked familiar….
FROM THE TOP, musically speaking!
I’m guessing then that that would be Latin? — YUR
Actually, UR, it’s Italian, and it’s what the choir / vocal director tells the singers when he wants to start again *from the top* — da capo! The cartoon frame has “songs at the summit,” which is why I made the connection.
And, UR, apologies for the anonymous status on my earlier posts! I just now noticed that when I *scrubbed* the drive I lost all my settings.
What a great pic and really cool picnic set up in the pic forefront!
The boyz are on top if the jumbles!!!
I googled Da Capo — google says Italian.
Tale care all. LL
Thanks, hal and LindaLee! Italiano! Now I know! — YUR
