Answer:  PUT HIS MIND TO

(It’s so funny seeing the Scarecrow without his hat on!  It’s sorta like seeing Beetle Bailey without a hat, or helmet.  Today’s Jumble solve was a nice 12 letter answer.  All of the clue words were old favorites again.  Three of the jumbles look to be new, with “maidt” having definitely been used before.  I was able to see all the jumbles instantly this morning.  And, even though it’s a great jumble itself, the answer letter layout did not stump me.  The leading nature of the Clue/Question was a big help.  Really cute cartoon, of the very domestic Cowardly Lion and Scarecrow.  I don’t try to do anything in the morning before my first few sips of coffee.  I like the view of the Emerald City outside the window, with the hot-air balloon flying away.  In a funny bit of coincidence, today’s Cryptoquote refers to both cowardice and . . . COURAGE!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

The opposite of courage in our society is not cowardice, it is conformity.”   —   Rollo May

(Courageous people do always seem to have a target on their backs.  Since it’s almost impossible to be universally liked anyway, you might as well hold some non-conformist stances.  Be well . . . be brave and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
