As Charles Caleb Colton once famously said: “Imitation is the sincerest [form] of flattery”. So, I guess I should be flattered that someone has created a blog, powered by WordPress no less, with the web address of: JumbleAnswers .com.
It’s a little hard to determine how long it has been around, but the posts do bear a striking resemblance to my Jumble Spoilers. Maybe, it is written by someone who once frequented unclerave.wordpress.com, but objected to my politics, or sense of humor, or something. The commentary portion, especially, reads very much like mine. She – because it looks like it might be written by someone named Angela – even makes references to Hoyt and Knurek. I’m not sure if they endorse the blog, or not. In the few posts that I read I did not see them commenting . . . but who knows.
The – quasi-official looking – blog states that it has 800 something “Followers”, but each one of its posts has either zero, or 1 or 2 – at most, that I could see – “Likes”. I can understand this, as a good number of the “Followers” may not be on WordPress themselves, but each post seems to have a surprising number of comments. After reading a number of the comments though, I got the strange feeling that the blog’s creator is just having a conversation with them self! It looks a little too much like a controlled call and response, to me. Maybe it’s just me. Maybe I’m just jealous??? LOL!
Anyway, it is out there, friends. So, give it a look, and give me your impression of it. If nothing else, let it be noted that Yer Uncle doesn’t mind a little competition! Although, I’m a little surprised that they are getting away with the name! Hmm.
Be well and do good, friends. Have a safe and happy 4th of July!

Love your new site! It’s jumbleanswer.com. No “s”..
It redirects to ww5.jumbleanswers.com, a non-existent site offered for sale. So I don’t see it.
Nevertheless, perhaps you need the slogan: “Often Imitated, Never Equaled” on your blog.

Remarkable. The evidence may be inconclusive, but I for one, am jealous: all these years and no one cared enough about Colltales to even attempt a ripoff. Anyway, one of the things that both your sites have, and this coming from someone who doesn’t even get their true beauty, that is, the ‘jumbles,’ is that they both are extremely sophisticated, straight to the point, and your commentary always makes me think and see the world in a different way. I wouldn’t worry. Cheers
Well, that’s a kick, UR! I notice, though, JumbleAnswer.com doesn’t venture into the Daily Cryptoquote, so take that, copycat! Happy 4OJ, UR.
With respect to my first comment: from my home network it’s coming up fine. I was elsewhere when I couldn’t get to that site. But yours is much less frenetic and more relatable. No contest!

My new site??? Close . . . but no cigar, Smitty! — YUR
“Often Imitated, Never Equaled” LOL! Maybe I’ll look into where this might fit in the heading, Art!

That’s because your level of writing is too sophisticated to be ripped off, Wes. My site is a burger and fries. Yours is Chateaubriand with Lyonnaise potatoes! Bon appetit, mon ami!

LOL! Well, hal. The Cryptoquote is kind of an acquired taste. I think it requires a certain level of masochism! — YUR
One of my favorite *Captain Obvious* quotes is: “You can’t spell SMART . . . without ART”! LOL! Thanks, pal.

Oh, I hadn’t read this, thank you, that’s obviously out of your generosity. I always learn so much with your posts.
Ditto-ing above thoughts, you all say it so much better than I could!
So glad I checked in today (Saturday).
Oh my, a copy cat. Copy cats don’t usually fair to well in the end.
Unc, you are family! And I love your attitude.
