Clue/Question:  For them, saying goodbye took – – –

Image result for getting on a train

Answer:  SO LONG

(Basic pun today!  No directional, or historical, or literature-cal deciphering required.  All old favorite clue words, but all new jumbles.  Second time for “geyser” in about a week!  Non-obvious answer letter layout.  Kind of funny that I went with a train for yesterday’s Jumble, and today the cartoon has a train.  And, no, I have no prior knowledge of what the upcoming Jumbles may be.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Cryptoquote Spoiler – 06/14/17

Always be genuine.  People can sense when someone isn’t being themselves.”   —   Jeffree Star

(Despite being fairly certain that the T was the E, I had some difficulty in decoding this!  I couldn’t even see ISN’T for the longest time.  I did consider CAN’T, DON’T and WON’T, but I didn’t consider ISN’T, and I didn’t see it for a long time, even after realizing the words SENSE and BEING!  Part of it had to stem from the author’s name, which I never actually got on my own.  STAR did seem to be the most logical last name, and the unused letters did allow me to guess that the first name was JEFFREE.  Google confirmed my guess!  Interesting character.  And, reading about him goes a long way to explaining the quote, even though this has been expressed by many others over the years.  “Oh, baby baby, it’s a wild world!”  Vive la difference!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Apologies to Al Hoffman and Murthy

. . . and, to almost anyone else who suddenly comments on a non-current post.  You may very well be someone with the best intentions, and are just a little late to the show.  But, the cautious and suspicious side of me views your comments as possible spam, that is smart enough to get around the WordPress spam guard software.

I certainly do not want to discourage those who are new to this blog, but if you want to introduce yourself to our little community I would much prefer that you comment on a post that is recent, and not one that is months old.  I will always make allowances for known/regular posters.  But generally speaking, even our regular posters like to keep things relatively current.

No disrespect to the honest latecomers, but I do need to consider the safety of the blog, as a primary concern.

Regards,

Your Uncle Rave
