IMCMI = MIMIC, VAUAG = GUAVA, WADNET = WANTED, TIRAGU = GUITAR — Giving us: IGWNGA
Clue/Question: When is a dog’s tail not a tail? When it’s a – – –

Answer: “WAGGIN‘“
(Most definitely a sight gag! But, I like it. It reminds me that I forgot to wish my friend, Lauren’s dog a Happy Birthday, yesterday. This girl is slightly over the top when it comes to her pets. She gave him, Jake Pug, his very own Facebook page! Do you think he’ll accept belated greetings???
All of today’s clue words are old favorites. However, all the jumbles for them came up as new. I like the palindromic nature of “imcmi”. And, surprisingly, “wadnet” took me a few seconds to get. But, I saw both “guava” and “guitar” immediately. I thought the answer letter layout was actually pretty tough, until I noticed both the apostrophe and the quotation marks. I knew WAGING wasn’t going to get it done. The lady in the cartoon does actually bear a resemblance to my friend, and this Jake is about the right size, and I think Jake Pug is a some kind of pug mix. See above, as I found a photo of them in Google Images. I like the Summer nature of the cartoon, with the amusement park on the pier, and the classic sinking sailboat in the background. And of course, the Radio Flyer wagon! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
