Clue/Question: When Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay reached Everest’s peak, it was a – – –
Answer: TOP STORY
(“Top o’ the world, Ma!” But, ol’ Eddy likely said Mum, instead of Ma. Actually, I have no clue what Kiwis call their moms. And, I have less of a clue as to what the Nepalese call their moms. No new clue words today. Three of the jumbles appear to be new. Only “sopie” has definitely been used before. The answer letter layout was a fun jumble. And a great historical cartoon. I do kind of wonder how much publicity/credit Tenzing Norgay received back then. Usually, all the press would go to the white guy, in those days. Not exactly the good old days! Thankfully, things are fairer these days. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
I had ‘posie’ instead of ‘poise’! But was able to decipher the correct word pretty quickly, after figuring out the jumble answer and the needed letters from there. I love when ‘the guyz’ do historical/retro puzzles/drawings. Hope all of you in the Jumble-verse have had a Wowser Wednesday!
