(Overall, I’d say that this one ranks up there with the toughest of Sunday Jumbles, that I have ever come across. None of the clue words were new, but all six of the jumbles came up as new. And, I thought that all of them had a certain level of challenge to them. But especially “prulla”. But, they were all cake, compared to trying to solve the answer. The answer letter layout kept me in the dark for quite a few minutes. I took some time off to do the Cryptoquote, to kind of clear my head. But, even that didn’t help me all that much. I knew, from the phrasing of the clue/question, that the first word likely ended in ED, and that the middle word was probably THE, but possibly ONE. I started by trying SOLVED as the first word, so that eliminated ONE, and reinforced THE. However, that left me with PUEEPNEH! Because of the cartoon, its dialog, and the clue/question, I kept thinking that the answer HAD to have either POSTMAN, POSTAGE, or POSTAL in it. But there wasn’t an A to be found! And, I couldn’t think of a three word idiom that would use any of those three words anyway. Also, POSTED took away both the O and the T needed for the middle word. I think it might have been the supervisor’s comment that finally opened my eyes to the answer. It just kind of came to me. ENVELOPE was very nicely hidden, but I felt I really should have seen PUSHED a lot earlier, because the letters were there in perfect order. They were just a little separated some. Great cartoon! Not exactly Rube Goldberg-esque, but it does look like a contraption! Anyone want to get me started on the unemployment issue? LOL! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

It was sorta hard, I don’t normally do the Sunday ones as I think they’re harder than the weekdays and I’m normally doing other things. But I sorta plugged along and I got through it.

UR, agreed, I also thought this was a super toughie jumble solve. I finally pulled out ‘e-d’ and ‘the’ to try to figure out the rest, and like you, had to come back to it. I think the Jumble Guyz are at the top of their game! Even the easier jumble solves are still funny/punny…and holy zip code, Batman, this was a doozy x 10!
