(This one tripped me up for a few minutes.  I think I have to credit David’s super answer letter layout.  It was 14 letters long, and very nicely jumbled.  In retrospect, I probably should have picked up on it a little sooner from the brother’s comment about the “ace”.  None of the clue words were new today, but all of the jumbles were.  The only one to give me pause was “scaavn”.  The usual top-notch cartoon from Jeff.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
