Pre-Answer: Four Words (6-letters) (2-letters) (3-letters) (5-letters)

Answer: PACKED TO THE GILLS
(I thought this Jumble went swimmingly! Lots to like here. No new clue words today, but four of the jumbles came up as new. We have seen both “bollag” and “dindhe” before. I really liked “evidac” and “penlug”. They sound like they could be real words. The answer letter layout was an outstanding jumble! It hid the answer very well. I think the layout of the answer itself was the biggest clue for me. I think the answer is actually a derivation of Stuffed To The Gills, which just means very full. The cartoon is filled with a plethora of piscine predator and prey. The busy octopus bartender needs all eight of his arms to get his job done. Flukes and flounders. A shark is hitting up a moray eel. Electric eels are only in fresh water, Jeff. At the bottom there is an anglerfish, a puffer fish, and an angel fish, and a bunch of fish that I can’t identify. The mermaids, either in a tank, or just outside the window, add another whimsical touch to the great drawing. Fantastic Sunday Jumble, guys! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
