Answer:  SANG HIS PRAISES

(“And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.”  This is a line from “Hamlet”, but I once said it as the Old Actor, Henry, in “The Fantasticks”.  But that was probably about 40 years ago . . . and probably about 40 pounds ago, for that matter.  If I were able to reprise the role today I’d need a heck of a lot less makeup!  Although, I’m holding up pretty well . . . for pushing 60.  I also used to sing for a choir group in college.  We were called The Lamplighters!  Technically, we weren’t a church choir, but we might as well have been, because all we ever sang were hymns.  Even so it was fun.  We used to tour a little, and I guess you’d have to say that we weren’t always choir boys . . . and girls.  Ah, yes.  “Picture me in light!”  Another one of Henry’s lines.

No new clue words today, but all of the great jumbles appear to be new.  The answer letter layout was a great jumble too.  Nothing obvious about it.  Swinging cartoon!  The choir director even looks a little like The Lamplighters old director, James ‘Fuzzy’ Randolph, may he rest in peace.  The picture above is of his later years, of course.  He was a real character.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
