Clue/Question: It should have been an easy victory for the bocce team, but the player – – –
Answer: BOTCHED IT
(Is this a familiar pun among the bocce crowd? Probably. It definitely made for an easy solve. No new clue words, but three of the jumbles seem to be new. It looks like Hoyt has used “panidu” before. The answer letter layout was another well thought out jumble. Nothing obvious. Cute cartoon. Looks like the retirees are either in Florida, or perhaps Arizona. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
Still very popular in some Lower East Side spot, and almost extinct in Little Italy! In Paris, it’s amazing how young people enjoy the game in parks and public spaces. In its way, it’s a game of precision, complemented by some level of physical exercise (you know, lifting glasses, opening bottles, etc). Do you play?
I meant, spots duh…
I *have* played. Can’t really say that I *play* though. It is fun though. — YUR
Grand puzzler!
It is amazing how many of the puzzlers seem to bring up a memory for me. We playing (at) Bocce Ball at the beach when my brother remembers to bring the balls! Eons ago we had a cheaper version of the game. It had a ping pong ball for the marker ball. A bird dove in and toted it off while we were playing. We all stood there like what in the world just happened! Soooo funny. Then my brother purchased a proper game.
Take are all! LL
