(It’s a little like cheating though, isn’t it.  Unfortunately, I only read at a sub-vocal level.  But, I do remember being chastised by shop owners for reading comic books and magazines for a little too long, when I was a kid.  They don’t make money if you read it there, and walk away without purchasing anything, now do they!

There were no new clue words today, and only two of the jumbles were new.  We have seen both “turms” and “nunsek” before.  The answer letter layout was a nice little jumble too, but it couldn’t hide the pun from me.  I think today’s answer would play better with the slightly older crowd.  My daughter, who is 25, has always known it as fat-free milk.  She only knows the word Skim because of my referring to it as such.  Fine cartoon, but I was looking for a hidden Jumble reference in it, and I couldn’t make out what was on the guy’s ball cap.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

(I was saying this to my mother last week about my aunt, her baby sister, who passed nearly 12 years ago.  My mom focused only on the negative, like how her parents kind of never payed attention to her, and that she died young.  But, I look at the great relationships she had, all the cruises and trips she took, and the way she always loved to joke and laugh, and cook and entertain.  I’m sure she would have liked to live longer, but I think she lived well.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
