Answer: “SAVER–ED“ IT
(As in SAVORED IT? Yeah, I guess that works. A little on the weak side, but . . . whadayagonnado! No new clue words today, but three of the jumbles are coming up as new. We have definitely seen “atvil” before. The answer letter layout is an excellent jumble. It did a very nice job of concealing the answer. The cartoon shows a nice little clutch. It looks like a book club meeting, to me. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
I agree, UR, today’s pun was not one of Jumble’s strongest … but yesterday’s cameo portrait of Sir Elton John striking a CHORD was mighty clever.
I really thought the hyphen was in the wrong spot. I’d have thought SAVE should be by itself. SAVER seemed to be a stretch, for me at least.
My thought is that “Savour-ed” IT would have been more quote worthy?? We already knew they had saved with the coupons. But no matter, it was a grand jumble, and I would never, ever second guess the guyz. Just my thought.
We just opened some Baby Edam cheese we purchased last year in Holland. OMG!!! AMAZING! I’m thinking they probably had Baby Edam at the party!!!”
Take care all!!! LL
Yeah, this wasn’t the best final answer. Took me a few seconds. I got ED and IT and then figured out SAVER.
