(Swonderful pun!  It has a nice nose to it.  Really vintage stuff, guys!  No new clue words today, but all of the jumbles came up as new.  I was able to see them all instantly though.  The answer letter layout was alright.  It might have been a little more cryptic if the clue words had been flipped.  But, due to the great expression on the wife’s face, and the theme of the cartoon/puzzle, I had no problem coming up with one of my favorite expressions.  I love both “Put a cork in it” and “Put a sock in it”.  Very fun today.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

I had no trouble with the words, but the final answer stumped me for a few seconds. I first thought it was PUT A —- ON IT (along the lines of put a lid on it), but I couldn’t get a sensible word out of KIRC. Finally, I realized that it was PUT A —- ON IT, but then I typed in ROCK first (no idea why). Then, it struck me that it should be CORK and not ROCK. Duh!
