(Swonderful pun!  It has a nice nose to it.  Really vintage stuff, guys!  No new clue words today, but all of the jumbles came up as new.  I was able to see them all instantly though.  The answer letter layout was alright.  It might have been a little more cryptic if the clue words had been flipped.  But, due to the great expression on the wife’s face, and the theme of the cartoon/puzzle, I had no problem coming up with one of my favorite expressions.  I love both “Put a cork in it” and “Put a sock in it”.  Very fun today.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

(Even the so-called pros fall prey to spelling errors.  In today’s USA Today there’s a story by Oren Dorell, on Trump’s attempt at repairing hurt feelings with China.  In it he wrote “. . . the U.S. will face the prospect of real disaster in the not-to-distant future.”  #1.  I don’t think the hyphens were necessary.  #2.  It’s the wrong spelling of “too”!  I’m far from being perfect, but it would be nice if newspapers still had proof readers.  Spell-check just doesn’t catch this kind of stuff.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
