(Today’s pun was submitted by Jeremiah Pedunkadunk, from Owensboro, KY.  JP just won an all expense paid trip, for two, to Paducah, KY.  They’ll tour the National Quilt Museum, the Kentucky Dam and the uranium enrichment plant, while staying at the downtown Super 8, and dining at the Cracker Barrel.  All thanks to the good people at Jumble!

No new clue words today.  All of the jumbles, with the exception of “tupeyd”, are new.  The answer letter layout was huge, and a great jumble.  But, it didn’t keep me from getting the answer.  The cartoon was sheer beauty.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

    Beautiful picture Unc!

Loved this jumble. I actually got through the jumbled words very quickly. The answer had me stumped and I had stuff too do, so I kept going over it I’m my head. I sat back down to take another look and started messing with it again. I figured it was something about DOWN HILL…wrong. I began culling out four letter words, got came and voila.

A friend wanted me to climb Kilimanjaro. There was some kind of package deal with leaders/guides, camping, training schedule, etc. I wanted to do it, but she ended up with issues and her doc said no way. My husb was much relieved!

Go JP! The husb knows peeps in Owensboro, but not JP. And Michael and Darrell Waltrip are from there.

    Take care all…LL

Good morning! DENTAL was hard, but HAIRDO killed me again! About 15 years ago when I first started with the JUMBLE, we teachers were at a boring inservice day, and I was trying to complete the JUMBLE before the next session. My girlfriend helped me get HAIRDO since I was literally pulling my hair out! Well, here I was on Sunday and just about to start the puzzle, when I remembered the HAIRDO incident. That was weird! ESP? About 15 minutes later, I had gotten the solution, but no HAIRDO. I backed into it, and screamed “HAIRDO”! IT GOT ME AGAIN!

Well, Lesley. I’d have to say that “hairdo” IS one of the sillier compound words in the English language! — YUR

Lovely! DENTAL took me a few seconds but the rest were instant. For the final answer, I guessed that COME, DOWN and A would be part of the answer, but couldn’t make any sense of the remaining letters. If WHAT were one of the words, then the remaining letters would be CILD. If WITH were one of the words, then the remaining letters could be CDAL. Somehow, that clued me in to COLD, and then I realized that it was not COME DOWN, but CAME DOWN. Nice Jumble.
